The Fantastic Five
The fantastic five
At the moment I disagree with myself because I am interested in two themes, namely:
Oriental Surprise
Ultimate Black
The first is interesting because I always like to include art in my projects and get to know a culture different from mine. Instead for the second I would like to represent my black as black is the base color for my clothing and in my outfits, it never fails.
My first idea is to use the Ultimate Black and make a connection with Vincent Van Gogh. He in his painting uses a different kind of blue but every time they are different blues that express different kinds of emotions. Also, inspire me to Coco Chanel great woman who has led us, women, to great changes also regarding women's rights. As speaking in the classroom reference was made to Francisco Goya great painter who painted his madness and fear, and even his dark colors speak.
As for the oriental surprise, I imagined instead a variety of colors to use and above all particular garments that are usually worn in those countries. I have no clear idea how to develop this theme. Let's say that the oriental theme makes me think a lot about anime and manga, which I am madly in love with.
Regardless of the theme I choose, my idea is to create four designs of garments and make one of them designed by me.
These are two quite different ideas - the coolness of using Black and the multiple colours of the Oriental theme. If you are keen on anime/manga and want to work with the imagery/dynamism of that subject, there is a lot of information out there that can support your project. Have a look at Takahashi Murakami as an initial research element - makes painting, sculpture, anime etc. Link herer: https://gagosian.com/artists/takashi-murakami/
