The Fashion Design project I will carry out this term will use the theme of Ultimate Black. But since I was also fascinated by the other theme or Oriental Surprise I thought of using anime and manga as a basis to represent my story in my small collection. My idea is to represent emotions based on the manga or anime that I'm going to use, and certainly insert some of my emotions that I'm feeling in this period to make the project even more mine. I will make a choice regarding anime and manga based also on the story of the characters and touch through them also different social views. The first one I thought of is Nana in this manga there are two Nana but the one that I feel most represents is Nana Osaki, She is one of the two protagonists and had a difficult childhood: abandoned at the age of 4. She is subsequently entrusted to her grandmother. She wrongly accused of having prostituted herself, she decides to avoid any unnecessary justification by dropping out of school. These are already some of her information that I would later like to deepen in the next posts. I will create a collection of 4 (2D) drawings of which one of these will be made. Still in decision-making regarding the choice of the technique to use to create the drawings of my collection. But for now, my idea is to use the technique with which manga are drawn but first I have to see if my drawings can be presented using this technique. Starting from the development of the mannequin and then the retouching directly on my model, the target was chosen is from 20 to 30 years. Subsequently, my final piece will be presented through a photoshoot. As for the color, as you can understand it is black and from this point of view I still have to develop my thought and project.
If you are using Ultimate Black as your theme and combining it with an element that has been important to you in the past, then you have the opportunity to create something genuinely unique. To achieve this, it is important that you follow up this post with a range of research that gives you plenty to work with. Also choosing shapes, silhouettes and fabrics that link to both elements of your thematic ideas, looking at how you might accessorise this too.
