Jürgen Klauke

He is a German artist. Beginning in the 1960s, he used his own body as a subject of his photographs. He also experimented with minimalism and surrealism. He has been using photography and performance to explore identity and gender norms. Klauke’s focus on his own body as an expressive vehicle has made him a pioneer in the genre of Body art, alongside Vito Acconci, and he has also been linked with Cindy Sherman for their similar techniques and concerns. Interesting how this photographer focuses on body language, I would love to play with my body in photos but I don't feel comfortable. But I think that starting to parry with the body is a fundamental thing in the world of fashion and if you don't try it on yourself first, I think it's difficult to express it to models. It is also interesting to know the limits of our body and this also gives you the opportunity to know yourself from another point of view.

Duane Michals

In an era heavily influenced by photojournalism, Michals manipulated the medium to communicate narratives. The sequences, for which he is widely known, fit the film frame-by-frame format. he has also incorporated text into his photographs as a key component of his photographs. the texts do not have an explanatory function of the photograph but rather it is to add another dimension to the photographs by giving voice to his reflections. I became interested in this photographer because in addition to creating the sequences he adds his written reflection to the photography, whether it is humorous, tragic, or poetic based on his feelings to give even more expression to his work.
