Major Project Sign-off

 Just Black

For my great project this term I would like to create a photoshoot, I start by introducing my idea and then for the photographic details that I thought I will tell you about it in another post. Since I am studying Fashion Stylist I would like to start by enhancing a black dress only with accessories, creating four different outfits with just one dress. It seems obvious but one of the qualities of the Fashion Stylist is the one able to define and enhance the identity of a brand, in this case, a dress, or of a fashion product through the image to enhance its winning characteristics during fashion shows, campaigns advertising, photographic services, events, publishing activities. So what better way than a completely black dress! I have already thought of various accessories starting from the most obvious things, so to speak, necklaces, earrings, glasses, belts, bags, ties, gloves, hats and so on. So I would also like to start studying how these accessories were born and started to give value to garments. Through this project I want to give importance to the woman's body, if possible I would like to be the model myself even if it is rare that I use myself for my projects but this time I want to express the sensations both from a photographic and stylistic point of view but also as a model to try to create garments where women can feel themselves so what better way than to test on your own body. Although maybe I will ask a friend of mine to pose for me too so as to have different points of view. A photographer who inspired me for this project is Helmut Newton as even decades later his portraits of strong, rich and emancipated women on stiletto heels, imbued with eroticism and obsessions, continue to amaze, polarize and fascinate. A detail that fascinates me is the use of models with wide shoulders and infinite legs, who challenge men by returning their gaze imperiously.

"So I used this title for the post in a satirical way because just black can be something more than fascinates and that maybe is taken for granted."
